Biscuits with Sautéed Apples and Caramel Sauce
This is going to be a short post as I’m trying to squeeze this in as I’m preparing some dishes to take on our Thanksgiving getaway. A Nor’easter is bearing down on the Northeast so I hope for safe travels.
This dessert is similar to fruit shortcake as you make a nice flaky biscuit to serve with the apple mixture. It is delicious!!
This recipe comes from King Arthur Flour. It calls for boiled cider which can be purchased at their site; but I just put cider in a pan and boiled it down by one-half. It becomes thick and syrupy.
The biscuits are flaky and would be delicious eaten all by themselves with lots of butter.
Warm sautéed apples with cinnamon and nutmeg speak for themselves.
Finally, be sure to have lots of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream to top off these Caramel Apple Biscuits. Delicious!!
