“Christmas is doing a little something extra nice for someone.” ~ Charles Schulz
Old Fashioned Sour Cream Cookies
There is a lot to love about this cookie. The sour cream adds flavor and the nuts give it a nice crunch. The cookie is iced with a wonderful frosting that rounds out the taste and provides a great backdrop for holiday sprinkles.
The author of this recipe shared her great grandmother Minnie’s cookie. She tells the story of how her mother and aunt would always have homemade cookies when they visited their grandmother. They thought she was “awesome” because she made them cookies for breakfast.
I love that sentiment because it reminds me how I felt when I visited my grandmother. She truly spoiled us.
The recipe for this cookie can be found at Food52.
Pat’s “Twelve Days of Christmas” cookie campaign is a problem for me. They are good, but I have gained 2 pounds already!
